Really Simple Security plugin reported today that Royal Core has a “high risk” security vulnerability. Unfortunately there are no further details given (the issue page doesn’t provide details when I clicked “Details”). I tried updating the theme and plugin to the latest version (1.5.0) on my staging site, but the warning persists. See attached image.

Can you investigate the issue and maybe contact Really Simple Security for further details, if needed? This is a bit concerning.

    Hello, Kultakuume,

We are currently addressing this matter. It appears there has been some confusion related to Wordfence. The error details provided in the following link:

    https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/wordpress-plugins/royal-core/royal-core-292-authenticated-subscriber-arbitrary-options-update

indicate that the issue pertains to version 2.9.2 of the plugin and a completely different plugin author. It seems this situation arose due to a coincidence in the plugin names.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best regards,
    8Theme’s Team
