Blog posts not showing in summarized form

Despite changing the reading settings to show a summary of each article, the whole article is still being shown on the blog page.

Also, I tried enabling comments for existing posts, but it still shows that comments are closed. How do I fix this?

You’re using old theme version. Please update to the latest:
