I see that Revolution Slider is a required plugin for the theme; however, I don’t explicitly use it and I don’t see anywhere that my theme is using it for some other functionality.
I’ve tried to deactivate the plugin and while the site goes through the process and says the plugin was deactivated, it is still showing as active. I assume this has something to do with your theme’s requirements.
Is there any way to completely deactivate and remove from site or what functionality does it break for the theme? In the meantime, I’ve simply hidden it from the WordPress admin, but when you add/edit a post, you still see some remnants of it which might be confusing for the site owners…
Thanks!
Hello,
You can remove “revslider” folder from wp-content/plugins directory via FTP and you don’t use this plugin.
Pleas try it.
Thank you.

Thanks Eva.
So why is the plugin listed as required if I can simply delete it?
Hello,
It’s required for creating sliders, but if you’re using other plugin you can delete Revolution Slider.
