    Hi,

I have the full menu active on my woopress installation but I have noticed that when you click on the menu with sub categories it activates the parent link and does not give you chance to choose a sub item?

This is using woopress on mobile (iPad)

Thanks in advance, login details in private

    Hello,

To have full width menu you need add special CSS Classes combination to the first level of the menu. At first you need to specify the main class menu-full-width and then the additional one, that will set the quantity of the columns in your menu from menu-column1 to menu-column5.
Please specify what menu item you want to make full width.

    Thank you.

Also to add I don’t think you understand fully the issue.

When on a mobile device and you tap the drop down menu it activates the first parent link which in my case is ‘ Repairs ‘ and goes to that page.

The first tap should open the drop down menu so you can choose the sub menu items.

Maybe the area where you tap (down arrow) is not big enough to register your finger?

This is not responsive for a customer.

    Hello,

As I see now you’ve added “menu-full-width” class and the class for columns.
When you hover the menu item “Repairs” the submenu will be opened and you’ll see subitems in full width.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Eva,

But that only works on desktop computers, not on the iPad…. it activates the parent link because using a mobile device you can’t hover like a PC using a mouse.

Mobile device you tap, so this does not work on tablets so having sub menu items is useless ?

    Hello,

If you tap the menu item on iPad and drag your finger down a bit you’ll see drop down submenu.
    Please try it.

    Thank you.

    Eva,

Sorry that does not work, the menu does not work and as I have told you several times it activates the parent link!

Shall I email Olga directly as this issue is not user friendly, the full width menu is useless and DOES not work

    Eva,

I have explained the problem here so don’t really see why I should open a ticket to explain the same problem.

Please can you ask another member of staff to look at this.

    Thank you

I think the work around for now is to use a custom link and not to put an URL for the link for the parent link I.e. Repairs

This way you can tap once to reveal sub categories without activating the parent main link.

I think you should look into the main menu in a future update (not mobile menu)

For the mobile menu, how can I add a X like your menu on the support forum to close the menu?

Also how can I add an icon on the mobile menu links to the left?

    Hello, @Jimbo,

Developers took a closer look at iPad menu problem, but unfortunately there is no way to change its work. Either do the changes and use mobile menu also on iPad or just use custom link.

We’ll add close icon feature in next theme update (tomorrow), so, please wait.

To add icons on the mobile menu link you can use :before CSS pseudo element.

    Olga,

Thanks for this, I appreciate the developers looking at this.

I think for now I will just use the custom method without the URL.

Do you have any more detailed info on the icons for the mobile menu icons as I don’t fully understand how the pseudo works, can you give an example?

Thank you Olga, I hope you are well.

    Hello,

Sorry, but we don’t provide css tutorials. I see you are using two different menus for mobile and desktop versions. In this case you can just add icon code as navigation label, check Home item.

I never asked for a tutorial, I asked for an example!

Quite amazing how you guys can be nice to some people on the forums and others you can be unhelpful.

Like others there are problems with this theme, if you are unwilling to help then as I have told you before I will just get a refund from PayPal!
