Shopping cart not working since update - by hexacolor

    Hello,

    Since updating the theme to version 1.4, the shopping cart has a ton of errors. I had been testing the shopping cart (while on version 1.3) and everything was working well, I was also using W3 Total Cache and there were no problems.

    Since updating to the latest version, when clicking the ‘add to cart’ button, I would get a blank modal window (where the loading spinner goes) showing absolutely nothing, and the page would stay there with no change and no products would be added to the cart; at other times, the blank modal would stay there but if I refreshed the page the item would be added to my cart (no confirmation or anything, it would just be there). Other times, the page would immediately refresh after clicking the add to cart button and the item would be in the cart with no problems. I would say it worked 1 out of 5 times I tried to add a product to the cart.

    I disabled W3 Total Cache hoping that would fix the issue (I know caching plugins can conflict with WooCommerce), but the issue remains. I have “Enable AJAX add to cart buttons on archives” unchecked from the WooCommerce settings, but I still get the modal after clicking the add to cart button, only difference is now I get an endless spinner (and no products added to the cart) and the following message from the console:

    Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 (Internal Server Error): https://www.******.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php

    I have contacted my host and ajax isn’t blocked, there aren’t any issues on their server either, so I am out of ideas on what could be causing this issue. The told me to contact the theme developers as they might be able to help, so I’m hoping this will be it.

    I forgot to mention, in the WooCommerce system status I see this:

    Templates –
    woopress/woocommerce/cart/cart-totals.php version 2.3.0 is out of date. The core version is 2.3.6

    All other templates seem ok, not sure if could be the cause? Thought I would mention it in case it helps.

    Sorry for the extra post, there’s no edit button on my previous replies.
    I enabled the debug mode on WP and got this when trying to add an item to the cart:

    Every other time, the console also shows:

    Uncaught TypeError: Cannot set property ‘lastX’ of undefined – zoom.js:33

    Not sure if helpful.

    Hello,

    Sorry, but I was unable to log in to wp-admin panel. Please check the credentials.
    I’ve reuploaded the folder “woocommerce” in the directory wp-content/themes/woopress.
    Please check “Add to Cart” button now and clear browser cache before.

    Sorry, I forgot to leave a message before. Since I went a whole day without a reply, I started changing settings and got the cart back to working on my own.

    I had to turn off the ‘enable redirect to cart’ from woocommerce’s settings which was causing a problem with the theme, and I had to turn off the ‘ajax add to cart’ from the theme options; as soon as I did this, the shopping cart started working. Not sure why you would allow both options to be turned on if neither is going to work on your theme.
