    Hi,

    I have some issues with my variables products images

    When I upload images/thumbnails on each variable on product page, they do not appear below main image (like the other single product pages) – Visitor had to select variables to have the image appearing.. and they appeared cropped.

    I then asked my developer to help me adjust that, I also added the same images to gallery images on product page and he added a fix to remove the cropping.. but now the images appear with different sizes and in double (the ones in gallery and the ones in variables thumbnails) which make a bad user experience and could easily confuse visitors….

    My question is the following, how come when I upload my image to variable products, they do not appear exactly like the other single products page, can’t I have the different variable thumbnails appearing like single product pages? Please have a look at the difference:
    single product: http://balbucio.com.br/product/colar-arty/
    variable products: http://balbucio.com.br/product/colar-pedras/

    Here is the last feedback from my developer, maybe it will help you understand:
    “The problem with the images is because of that fix I added before to get rid of the cropping problem, if you remember. I have removed that, but now the product image gets cropped when you select a variation that has a larger image. For example – http://balbucio.com.br/product/colar-pedras/ – try selecting ‘Rosa Choque’ from the dropdown and you’ll see. This a theme’s problem, and not something I can fix, I’m afraid. ”

    Could you please let me know how I could fix this issue, it is important for me to have access to variable products options…

    I’ve already added my wp credentials in private content below

    Thanks a lot,

    Kind Regards,

    Muriel

    Hello,

    Go to Woocommerce > Settings > Products tab > Display > uncheck “Hard Crop” in Product Images and regenerate thumbnails in Tools > Regen. Thumbnails.
    After that check images on a single product page.

    Thank you.

    Hi Eva,

    Thanks for your reply, I’ve regenerate thumbnails and uncheck hard crop, but didn’t change.
    Here is my developer’s feedback: ” You can do the regeneration, but I don’t think that is the problem. It’s not the actual image that is cropped, the problem is in the wrapping div element (owl-wrapper-outer) which is smaller than the image, so it hides the part of it. That div does not get auto resized once you select a variation product with a different image size. I think you’ll need to show them this page, so they can see the problem http://balbucio.com.br/product/colar-pedras/

    Does this help? Please let me know how should I proceed

    thanks

    Hello,

    Try to add this code in style.css file of your child theme:

    .owl-carousel .owl-wrapper-outer.autoHeight {
        height: auto !important;
    }

    Thanks a lot Stan and Eva for your help!

    There is no more cropping, but my first objective was to be able to have the images I add to variable product (for each variation) to appear as main images.Is that possible?

    If I remove the gallery image,(please check http://balbucio.com.br/product/colar-pedras/ )
    the user have to select a color for the image to appear, they only see the thumbnail image…

    Because if i add the same images to the gallery images, then my user will see the image in double once they select color…you see what i mean?

    Also, is there a way for the thumbnails to appear at the same “place” that on single page.
    If you look for example this page: http://balbucio.com.br/product/colar-arty/
    You see that the thumbnails of the images appear just below main image
    If you look at any other variable products, they appear way below, near the color selection…
    you see? How can I change this?

    Thanks a lot,

    Kind Regards,

    Muriel

    Hello,

    1. Concerning your first question you need contact Woocommerce support team.

    2. The images are displayed differently because you have different sizes for variable images. Please upload them with similar dimensions.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

    Your images should have original sizes 1425px × 1900px approximately.
    And images are scaled to the dimensions set in Woocommerce > Settings > Products > Display. Upload all images in high resolution.

    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.
