Hi! I just loaded the new update to the theme but for some reason, it won’t read ANY of my CSS in the editor. I’ve tried placing it in the editor AND checking the box in the Theme Options and placing it in the default.custom.css file but neither is working. I’ve cleared my cache too which isn’t helping. It was fine before the update. Please help because right now my site is looking like garbage without the CSS.

You need to go and rename the default.custom.css file on your server in the themes/royal/ directory, change it for custom.css I really dont know why they did it this way but anyways its the only way… they should implement a feature that when you select the custom.css option in the theme options that it either renames it but yeah thats the solution right there, and keep it active in the theme options
Hey Jeff!
Really??? What the heck? Okay. I can do that I guess. How do I do that? Can you provide any insights?
I’m on Bluehost if that helps…
Thanks for your help 🙂
K.
log into you cpanel, go to file manager and to the directory where your wordpress install is located
public_html/wp-content/themes/royal (most common location)
and select the default.custom.css file and rename it.
Awesome I’ll try that Jeff! Thanks. Is there anything specific I should rename it to?
custom.css (I dont know why they name it default.custom.css in the first place but they must have their reasons)
Weird. Okay. I’ll try…
Perfection! Issue resolved! Thank you Jeff. You just made my day 🙂
