    1.
I added the woocommerce cart widget to the shop side bar and it is set to not display until an item is added – a feature of the cart widget.

But adding items does not refresh the cart widget and display the items as it should. If I switch to another theme, the cart widget works as it should. Is there some trigger that is not firing as it should?

    2.
The header cart is designed to only have three items in it? Is this possible to change? Or can you tell me why we cannot display more than 3 items? It is confusing to the users to add items, see the subtotal change, but not see the proper number of items in the floating cart.

    Please, contact administrator
    for this information.

For number 2, I override the function

    function etheme_top_cart() {

in the child theme, allowing it to display more than three (3) items.
Wouldn’t it make sense to display some note that there are more items in the cart than can be displayed in the pop-up top cart?

    Thanks, Mike

But number 1 is a HUGE issue for us. I wish I had known there might be a problem with this.

PLEASE help me to determine why the Woocommerce Cart Widget is not updating when adding items to the cart.

    Thanks, Mike

    Hello,

    1. I’ve just checked your site and product items are updated in the cart widget. I’ve added 5 items and each item has been showed in the cart widget popup.
Please recheck it and clear the cache.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Eva

They appear in the cart popup in the header, but not in the woo commerce cart widget in the sidebar.

    Products should appear in both.

I have cleared the cache and tried it in chrome, safari and Firefox.

    Thx

    Hello,

As I understood you correctly you want Woocommerce cart widget to be displayed in the sidebar on the Cart page, don’t you?
Please provide us with wp-admin panel credentials to check.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

No, not on the cart page, on the shop page. Or the product page.

It is already on the shop and product pages. Can you verify that the woocommerce sidebar cart does not refresh when items are added to the cart?

Please try it by clicking menu item Today’s Menu and selecting a product.

I will send login credentials in a moment.

    Thanks.

The cart widget in sidebar is updated when you reload the page itself. Sorry, but we don’t have such feature to make cart widget in sidebar reload automatically.
    Please take our apologies.

    Eva

Showing the items added to the cart via the ‘Add to Cart’ button is an AJAX function that is part of Woocommerce.
It works this way on all themes. It is a feature of Woocommerce, not the theme itself.

The Legenda theme is using ajax to filter and override the ‘add_to_cart_fragments’ hook which is likely breaking the core functionality of the mini-cart.

It appears the overrides are trying to update and restore the sidebar mini-cart data along with the header bar cart, but something is broken. These overrides are in the theme file: legenda/framework/woo.php

Can you put me in touch with a developer that can verify and hopefully fix this behavior?

Do you still need the admin credentials for them?

    Thanks.
