    Good day again 8theme support.

We are having difficulties with the Portfolio on our site.

    Thee are 3 main issues:
    1. the filters at the top of the page are not working. When clicked on they do not work. If you look at the status bar at the bottom they are putting a # on the end of the /portfolio/# – effectively rending the a href inactive.

    2. Clicking the link to the actual project in the portfolio – redirects to /portfolio/*project-name* and then servers up a 404 not found page for all projects. This applies to all link including from the roll over on the image, the portfolio categories and the main link in the title of the project.

    3. Rolling over the main image of any project on the portfolio page, when you select “view large”, this used to display the image in a modal pop up window. Now it opens the image in the main browser window.

I have provided wordpress log in and ftp details as private content below.

    Regards,
    Andrew

    Hello,

1./3. The issue has been fixed. Please check it.

    2. As I see projects are loading properly:

Please clear browser cache and check the links again.

    Thank you for this Eva.

Yes, it appears to have addressed the issue raided.
Can you please explain what the matter was in case I encounter it again.

Further to this issue jpwever – there are some significant useability problems with the portfolio.
Not sure if they where there prior but they certainly are now.

    So for example:
    1. when you click on the category under the image tile on the porfolio home page it does take you to the list of project in the correct category.
However, when you click on ‘show all’, it only refreshes the page – it doesn’t reset and show all projects again.

    2.
Once you are in a project and you click on ‘projects’ in the page heading/breadcrubms/ – you are not taken back to the main projects page displaying all the projects – the browser actually loads another version of the same project
    – so when you click ‘return to previous page’ it takes you back a page but to the previous loaded version of the project
    – so the user has to click ‘back to previous page’ twice to get to the projects page.

Can you please have this looked at for us please – the porfolio part of the theme is an important sales area of our site and we plan to use it in social media – so it’s important to us to have these usability problems fixed.

    Hello,

To fix the issue I edited the file theme-functions.php, found the function if(!function_exists('etheme_enqueue_styles')) and added wp_enqueue_script('googleapis'); after the code wp_enqueue_script('jquery');.

    1. I’ve checked “Show All” button and it lists all categories. Try to check it in another browser and make sure your browser is up to date.

    2. Please update the theme to the latest version and Woocommerce as well.
Before update delete “woocommerce” folder in the directory wp-content/themes/royal/ and it’ll be reuploaded from a new theme package.
Also update all required plugins https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ .

Don’t forget to create back up of your files and database before starting update process!

(it’s for Legenda theme but the process is the same).

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.
