Javascript on footer link image - by perisweb

Hello,
i want to put 2 images with hover images in footer area,
i have some code in javascript but when i enter this code in textblock the code is disapperared, does this means textblock dont support javascript?

i mean i want to do this but it doesnt work because code is “lost” when i save it :
