Product tabs beneath sidebar - by Tim - on WordPress WooCommerce support

Hi,

On the product pages the tabbed area (Description, More Info, Reviews, etc.) is pushed down beneath the sidebar, so if I have a long sidebar there is a large whitespace between the product main area and the tabs. How can I have the tabs on the left so it isn’t pushed down beneath the sidebar?

Really? But then the default behavior means you can’t have even a medium length sidebar, which is pretty normal, without making the page look broken with that huge white space. Almost every woocommerce site I’ve seen has their tabs and related products within the page content and not beneath the sidebar.

This is disappointing and I don’t really understand.

Hello,

Unfortunately we have page layout created such way in our theme and it is clearly seen in our demo. To change the layout completely is possible only with additional customization. As our company is always trying to satisfy our customers, we have made a little change of styles for you and now tabs are located under the image and description. But if you want to do the same for related products as well, then it requires paid customization. Or you can try to customize the theme yourself. Note that in this case you have to create a child theme.

To reduce the sidebar for a bit you can replace “Our offers” to the bottom as related products. To achieve this you need select in Theme Options > Single Product Page > Location of upsell products > After Content.

Hi Eva, 8Theme team and Tim. I too have this problem. I have the Woocommerce Recently Viewed Products widget on the left sidebar, this is set at 6. After you click a few products, and 6 recently viewed products populate the area, it pushes the description down quite far.

I saw above that you said this behaviour was was clearly seen in the demo. However, you provide a sidebar in the theme options and the widget menu.

This is a feature that I’d like to implement, but as it stands, the single page sidebar is flawed and will not work.

Can you let me know if there are plans to correct this in an update? Also, please let me know what you quoted to Tim for the cost to develop this.
