    Hello!
    Please, help me…
I need to change the permalink site structure from Plain to %postname%. It’s very important for me. But every time I change it, 404 error appears on all pages except main page. I tried to clear litespeed ftp server cache and browser cache, but It did not help. I’ve even tried to do the structure change using the blank WP theme. It went good, but still I cannot do that with necessary site ferumina.com.
FTP access and WP Admin panel access is the same for You.

    Thank You.
    Roman.

    Hello, Roman,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We understand the importance of changing your permalink structure to %postname% and the frustration caused by the 404 errors on your site. Based on the information you’ve provided, it seems the issue might be related to the server configuration or a conflict with plugins.

To assist you further, we kindly ask you to confirm the following steps have been taken:

    1. **Check .htaccess File:** Ensure that the .htaccess file in your WordPress root directory has the correct rewrite rules. You can try resetting the permalinks by saving the settings again in the WordPress admin panel, which should automatically update the .htaccess file. If it doesn’t, you may need to manually update it with the default WordPress rewrite rules.

    2. **Disable Plugins Temporarily:** Sometimes, plugins can interfere with permalink settings. Please try temporarily disabling all plugins and then changing the permalink structure to see if the issue persists.

    3. **Server Configuration:** Since you mentioned using a LiteSpeed server, ensure that the server is properly configured to handle WordPress permalinks. You may need to check with your hosting provider to confirm this.

If the issue persists after trying the above steps, please contact the support of your hosting provider and WordPress support.

    Best regards,
    8Theme’s Team
