My 404 page always appears with header and footer, although I have set “Elementor Canvas” in the page layout in Elementor.
Is it because I have created the 404 page as a static block? What am I doing wrong?
Hello, @Juergen,
Thank you for using our theme and for contacting us.
Upon reviewing your concern, it appears that the current approach of creating the 404 page as a static block might be causing the header and footer to be consistently visible, despite setting “Elementor Canvas” in the page layout.
For optimal results, we recommend creating and editing your 404 page using a dedicated Page Builder such as Elementor. To facilitate this process and streamline the design, you can also explore importing XStore pre-built 404 templates.
Here are step-by-step instructions to guide you through the creation of your 404 page:
Navigate to your WordPress Dashboard and access “Xstore Builder” followed by “Error-404.”
Click on ‘Add New’ to initiate the creation process. Refer to this screenshot for clarity: https://postimg.cc/GHwfdJZB
Choose and insert a layout that aligns with your design preferences. A visual guide can be found here: https://postimg.cc/1VH7vbML
Upon completing these steps, set the display conditions for the 404 page by following the instructions depicted in these screenshots: https://postimg.cc/bsf2gstc & https://postimg.cc/PpGtH8hd
Additionally, Please read our theme documentation: https://www.8theme.com/documentation/documentation/xstore-builders/xstore-error-404-page-builder-with-elementor/
We believe that adopting this approach will address the issue you’ve been facing, ensuring a seamless and visually appealing 404 page experience for your visitors.
Best Regards,
The 8Theme Team
