    Hello,
My WordPress 8Theme Dashboard is completely empty. This may have something to do with the reason why my logo and cart info has disappeared from the website. I have been experiencing a number of problems.
Can you please help me understand what I need to do to fix this?
    Thank you.

    Hello,

Please make sure that all required plugins are activated https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/plugins/included-plugins/ and disable 3rd party plugin.
If you use child theme and did changes in files, try to activate parent theme on site.
    Let us know the result.

    Regards

All of the required plugins listed there are activated. What 3rd party plugins do you want me to disable?
I have not adjusted any coding that could impact the child theme in the time since the problems began. A long time ago I was instructed by EightTheme support to add a few lines of code but that’s all I’ve done.

Last week Olga Barlow said this – I wonder if it’s connected:
I see some js error in console. Please, provide temporary Dashboard and FTP access to your site to find the reason of that error.

Here are a few of the other problems I am experiencing, which I explained in that conversation with Olga:

My logo, shopping cart and heart icon in the right corner are all missing from my website. I did nothing that I can imagine would cause this problem. All of my settings are as they have been for months.
    Is this a theme glitch?

When I tried to update the logo on my website through the EightTheme admin section (before it went blank) I got this message after hitting save:
“There was a problem with your action. Please try again or reload the page.”

Ok! So I just went in to check and my dashboard is there again. No changes from me but I’m happy it’s there.

However, my logo, shopping cart and heart icon in the right corner are all missing from my website. I did nothing that I can imagine would cause this problem. All of my settings are as they have been for months.

I have not altered code so I do not know how I could have messed up the child theme.

    Hello,

Yes, that can be the reason of the problem. And you did not provide access but created the new topic.

    Hello,

Dashboard access is limited http://prntscr.com/kduajx and we can’t check plugins that you use, switch between themes, check Theme Options. Please, change permissions for our user to allow us to check these things.

    Hello,

We are still waiting for the reply from you about Dashboard permissions to proceed. Also, disable CloudFlare because we won’t be able to check our changes. You’ll be able to enable it again once we finish.

I adjusted your status to Administrator rather than Editor. I don’t know what CloudFlare is and I don’t know where to find it to disable. Is that something you could do?
If I still am missing something, can you please explain in more detail? I’m a first time WordPress user and a developer helped me get set up initially.

    Hello,

What is CloudFlare you can find here https://www.cloudflare.com/
We can’t disable it because we don’t have access to your account there and our support does not manage such things. We won’t be able to help you because all the scripts are cached because of CloudFlare CDN and we don’t see changes if CDN is enabled.
Contact your developer who enabled CDN for you and ask him to disable it for some time.
Reply back once CDN is disabled.

Thank you for the communication. I contacted my developer. Please do not close out this conversation. I will message you back when I hear from my developer that CloudFlare is disabled.

    Hello,

I see that you have enabled WPBakery page builder and Elementor. Seems you tried to edit homepage that was created using WPBakery using Elementor and broke the page structure http://prntscr.com/kg36cx It caused problem with the script.

If you want to use Elementor then you need to create page content from scratch using Elementor page builder. If you want to use page created by WPBakery then don’t edit this page using Elementor, edit page using WPBakery.

Solution: create the home page from scratch using only one page builder.

I’m fine creating a new homepage from scratch through Elementor without WPBakery. However, I do not believe that is the solution to the problem we have featured in this thread.

I still do not see my logo or the shopping cart and favorites buttons.

I will try to figure out how to make a new home page and see if that corrects the problem> I will message you back if it doesn’t work.

    Hello,

I see that you set the blog page as the main homepage and don’t see any problem with logo and cart.
So, create the new home page, set in Settings > Reading as the main home page and let us know if you still have the problem.

    Regards
