    Hi,

I have the main translation files of Loco saved in /wp-content/languages/themes/ folder as i was advised by you, but i did not have the woocommerce plugin po & mo files there, so after the last update i had to translate all the woocoomerce plugin in loco again, so my question is for all the translations i do of plugins, i need to export the po and mo files and place them in /wp-content/languages/themes/ folder, this is the way i should proceed rigth?

I dont want to keep translation everything every time i update stuff…

    Thanks for the help.

    Hello,

Themes translation files should be in /wp-content/languages/themes/ folder, plugin translation files – in /wp-content/languages/plugins/ folder.
There is translation of WooCommerce http://prntscr.com/phccg8 What do you plan to translate again? Sorry, I’m not sure that fully understand the last message.

    Regards

    Hi,

What i mean is that after updating woocommerce plugin i had to translate everything again in loco from woocoomerce plugin, so i did it and downloaded the woocoomerce po and mo files and placed them in : /wp-content/languages/themes/ folder

Is this the correct way to prevent what happened wen i updated woocoomerce?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

Translation files of WooCommerce should be placed in /wp-content/languages/plugins/ folder or languages/loco/plugins folder. Read more here – https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-localization/

    Hello,

Yes, you can use also wp-content/languages/loco/plugins but then don’t duplicate translation files to another folders.

Ok, so i will delete the ones that were created automaticly here: https://prnt.sc/phmaiq

And leave the ones i placed manually here:
    https://prnt.sc/phmbsk

Is this ok?Can i be shure that next time i update woocomerce i wont have to translate everything again?

    Thank you!

    Hello,

Yes, that’s correct. We are not the WooCommerce plugin developers, so I’m not 100% sure but we tried and did not face problem with this. Anyway, do the backup of the files of the WP installation and DB before the WordPress, WooCommerce or theme update, just in case to be sure that you’ll be able to restore necessary files if anything is wrong after update.

    Regards
