I activated the theme on my local machine, and then did a deployment on AWS Lightsail. Even though I have deactivated the theme on my local machine, but unable to Activate on the AWS Lightsail instance, getting error. Can you please reset the activation count, as I intend to use the theme as per license policy.

“You have reached activation number limit.
According to the ThemeForest license policy, you can use 1 license for 1 project only.”

    Hello,

    Thanks for using our theme.
    You can activate it now.
Please note that according to the ThemeForest license policy, you can use 1 license for 1 project only (dev site, production site, localhost but the same project), read more – https://themeforest.net/licenses/terms/regular If you want to use our theme for a few different projects you need to buy a few licenses.

    Regards

Ok, so by one project you mean the project name has to be the same, whether it’s on local or PROD. For example, my project name is JBees, and it should be the same on local and PROD, right?

    Hello,

We are working according to ThemeForest license policy, here you can read – https://themeforest.net/licenses/terms/regular , more information about what does it mean 1 project, you can get via their docs or support.

Sorry to get back on this, just want to make sure that by “Project” you mean “Site Identity”, right? So I have to define exactly the same “Site Identity” in order to activate the theme on my local machine and on PROD site.

    Please confirm.

    Hello,

1 project means 1 End Product, you can have 2 sites with different names, for example, “my-project.com” and “my-test-site.com” (live one and staging), if they are 1 end product, XStore can be activated there using the same purchise code.
You cannot buy a WordPress theme once and use it for more than one client/end project.
If you will face an activation limit error, contact us, and we will check activations and help you.

    Regards

Thanks for the quick reply. Out of curiosity, how do you determine if the END PRODUCT is the same, if they have different domains. In my case, I intend to make ONE END PRODUCT, jbeestore.com, and also activate the theme on my local machine for testing and development purpose.

You can activate the theme on the live site and local.
If you have any additional doubt contact support of ThemeForest to clarify.

    Regards
