Add Category and Tags AJAX search option

I wanted to let my customers search products using tags and categories also. But the current default Ajax integration allows searches to be based only on Products, Posts, Portfolio and Pages. It does not take account of tags and category names. There are other 3rd party plugins that provide this feature but I am getting difficulty integrating those search forms.
