Hi.
I have someone who has set up a new website for me using your WooPress theme. So far, it’s fantastic and I love it, so congrats on that. However, the web designer who has installed and customised the theme for me has said that my web hosting package is at fault for the fact that auto email notifications from the website are not working – new account notification, purchase confirmation, contact form etc. I explained the issue to my hosting company and they said there is no reason at all why it shouldn’t work. My designer’s solution has been to set up a separate gmail account, so the functionality is now working, but I see no reason at all why I would have to do this as it looks incredibly unprofessional, I have a valid domain and valid hosting. I quite simply do not accept his explanation. In fairness, he has tried, but for some reason he has not been able to set this up. Could you please provide some guidance on how to correctly set up the theme to use my own domain hosted email addresses for the purpose of sending auto emails out from the website? If you need some domain specific details, please let me know. Many thanks.
Hello,
Sorry, but this depends on a server configuration your domain is hosted at. Try to check contact form with your email address (fill it in Theme Options > Contact Form), after the email is sent via contact form on your site, ask your host to check mail logs on a server. Some notices should be in the logs why emails can’t be delivered.
Thank you.
Regards,
Eva Kemp.
Thanks Eva. I have done this and sent a request to my hosting company to check it out. Will this also work for the auto emails from the website? E.g. new order notification, registration etc.?
Hello,
You should set your email address in Woocommerce > Settings > Emails to get orders notification.

Jack Richardson.
