    Hi,

I want to create a blog style like
    https://www.8theme.com/demo/royal/?page_id=7&blog=grid

However, I find that when the plugin WPBakery Visual Composer upgrade to 4.4 or above, it changes the interface and uses its own item design (details: http://vc.wpbakery.com/features/grid-builder/).
The older version uses old style.
I know that I can use “Grid Elements” to create my own style.

However, I want to use your old style, so that “content-grid.php” is used and then I can do some code modification like adding custom fields.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

I’ve created blog page for you then selected in Setting->reading->posts page->blog. In theme options->blog layout->selected grid layout. Please check it.

    Regards,
    Robert Hall.

    Hi,

    Your solutions work.
However, it only show the blog in grid style, all the custom content on that page will not appeared (e.g. custom heading). Also, there is no sidebar displayed shown too.

Is there any other solutions to display both custom and blog in grid style on the same page.
If no, please kindly tell me which php files I should modify so that I can do the modification myself.

    Thank you!

You may modify content-grid.php and enable sidebar choosing another optiion from the dropdown list as on the screnshot.

    With best regards

    Hi,

I think I may not state it clearly and make you misunderstand me.

What I want is having a blog style like https://www.8theme.com/demo/royal/?page_id=7&blog=grid
In the same time, there are heading description on top of these post grid.
(please refer to the screenshot in the private content)

As stated before, it could be done in visual composer (version lower than 4.4).
But when visual compose upgrade, it changes to uses it own grid style.

I want to ask how can I use the old style, in the same time having heading on top in visual composer.
(I want to use old style as I can do some code modification to include custom content)

The solution provided earlier cannot having heading on top.
Any ideas of ignoring the visual composer style?
Or which php files (besides content-grid.php) I can modify to do the above tasks?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

In this case you need use old Visual Composer plugin version as authors made a lot of modifications in the new version and removed some options.
    Sorry.
