Hello,
We are trying to boost our page load speed and Google Pagespeed score. We have noticed that both the mobile header code and the desktop header code load on very page.
According to my developer : “There’s definitely two header layers within the
Since this loads on every page, it contributes unneeded overhead to each page.
Can you suggest how to fix this up? It seems like the appropriate header should load based on whether the browser is mobile or desktop.
Thanks as always for your support.
Ben
Hello, @bnourse,
I have checked your site and found that the result of your site is very well ok. Your site speed score is “91%” and load time is less than 1 second. Also, I have checked if there are some other things that might need to improve but as you can see all is fine: https://postimg.cc/sBq8yqcg
Now, Regarding the header files, you talk about it. Let me tell you. The desktop header is in the other box/div and the mobile is in the other so that whenever you open the site on mobile the mobile div will appear the header div will be completely not shown on mobile. it is better to understand the code and it’s a professional way. Every theme is based on different parameters.
Your site speed is perfect, no need to worry about it.

Hello, @bnourse,
Please go to XStore >> Theme Settings >> General and use the Mobile Content Optimization Option from there, save changes and check back to your site after clearing the browser cache.

Hi,
Still working through this. It seems that the Mobile Content Optimization does reduce our dom elements considerably, but causes the desktop header to also load on mobile devices. Is there still a setting wrong??
I have provided credentials in private area. Would appreciate it if you can tell me how to get the mobile header to display correctly, like in the preview, while mobile optimization is turned on.
Thanks,
Ben
Hello, @bnourse,
Actually, the option “Mobile Content Optimization” is used to help to disable unused HTML, CSS, and JS of the desktop elements for mobile versions. Keep disabled if you use cache for the mobile devices of the cache plugin, and I can see that you are using cache plugins and other cache options too in the “Speed optimization Wizard” feature of our theme see the image: https://postimg.cc/MvVrRfkb and https://postimg.cc/q68XtntN so it might be possible that the options are conflicts with each other also with the plugin too.
So please disable this option “Mobile Content Optimization” and use the other optimization features of the theme and of the plugins in order to optimize the site speed.
And I have tested your site on my personal mobile phone and the header on my mobile is working perfectly fine, here is the detailed video: https://www.veed.io/view/3ad23785-4dda-4a62-af42-b451daf23ceb?sharingWidget=true
