    Hello,

    On my old them with 8theme I was able to add images into the brand section, which would be displayed in the brand section, and the Image would show on the brand section on single product page. However on this new them, when I add images to the brands they do not appear on the caraosuel. Is there anyway that I can use standard woocomerce brands to appear, instead of store brands. because This will require double the work if I am using both woo brand and 8theme brands. Thanks

    Hello, @Terpsauce,

    Thank you so much for purchasing our theme and contacting our support center.

    In the latest WooCommerce update, a “Brands” feature was introduced. As a result, we renamed our brands to ensure there is a clear distinction https://prnt.sc/zljasSUqzVw2 The brands you are currently using are part of the functionality provided by the WooCommerce plugin.

    We kindly recommend contacting WooCommerce support for further assistance regarding this matter – https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce/

    Our Brands can be disabled via Theme Options > Woocommerce > Shop elements > Brands >
    Enable brands > Off.

    We hope this information is helpful. Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out. We are here to help you.

    Best regards,

    Thanks for telling me how to disable 8theme brands.

    Now can you advise me how to replay the “brands we trust” area of the website with woocmerce brands

    Hello, @Terpsauce,

    (brands we trust) area used the XStore Brand carousel widget when Brands enabled in XStore > Theme Options.

    it is logical that our brands widget for elementor works only with our brands especially since it was created before woocommerce created its own brands. If you want to have the same widget with default brands of woocommerce plugin, You can write woocommerce plugin and elementor plugin https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce/ https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/elementor/ as it does not depend on the theme You are using.

    if you want us to develop a new widget that would work with the default woocommerce brands when our brands are disabled, you can submit a request to our customer requests page https://www.8theme.com/taskboard/ and there we will start to see how many other clients vote for it.

    Another option that can be used right now is to use dynamic tags, for example https://prnt.sc/xlYqvtlOQKR0

    We hope this helps. Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out. We are here to help you.

    Hello,

    Your response isn’t exactly accurate to the scope of my request.

    As I explained, my current 8theme website (not this one) uses the standard WooCommerce Brands. When I put brand images into the standard woocomerce brands section it is also reflected on my brands carrousel on the home page. However this is not the same with this demo theme.

    How can I do what is already done in my previous theme. Im not asking for something to be developed, I’m asking how to do what is already possible to be done.

    Two screenshots.

    1: Elemntor page showing brands carousel NOT using “Brands we Trust”

    2: Admin dashboard, showing the location the images are saved. Which is: Products > Brands.

    This is what I am looking for, its already possible with this theme and elementor and DOES NOT require the brands we trust that you keep mentioning.

    Hello,

    Thank you for the temporary wp-admin access.

    No screenshot is visible – https://prnt.sc/98C1xZ-nJdYR

    WooCommerce introduced its own brand functionality in one of the recent updates. Previously, this feature did not exist, and only the brand functionality from our theme was available, which was fully compatible with our elements and widgets.

    We understand that you now wish to use the default WooCommerce brands and discontinue using our theme’s brand functionality to optimize your website’s performance. This is completely understandable. However, we would like to clarify that our elements were specifically designed to work with our theme’s brands. At the time of their development, no other brand functionality existed.

    Therefore, it would be incorrect to say that a particular widget initially worked with WooCommerce brands and later stopped functioning, as this was never technically possible.

    Currently, you can only use dynamic tags, such as https://prnt.sc/xlYqvtlOQKR0 , to display default WooCommerce brands in a carousel on the homepage.
    To clarify, dynamic tags are a feature provided by the Elementor plugin. With a recent WooCommerce update, they introduced the brand option for all elements that support dynamic tags, which is a logical enhancement. Similarly, they can add other options based on customer needs. Please note that our theme does not influence this functionality. We hope this explanation clarifies our point.

    You can disable Brands from WooCommerce: If you prefer not to use this feature, with the following code snippet by adding Child theme/function.php

    add_action( 'init', function() {
        update_option( 'wc_feature_woocommerce_brands_enabled', 'no' );
    } );

    Please read this article for more details: https://developer.woocommerce.com/2025/01/17/enabling-brands-update-for-woocommerce-9-6/

    “Therefore, it would be incorrect to say that a particular widget initially worked with WooCommerce brands and later stopped functioning, as this was never technically possible.”

    I did not say that.

    What I said is

    I have a website which is currently live, using this theme (different demo) and it STILL CURRENTLY use woocomerce brands which is still active, and visible in the screenshots.

    I never once said that has worked previously and doesn’t work now. I said it works on my other xstore website, by default, and there is no XSTORE BRANDS installed. Please review my request more accurately.

    Should I provide a video for you, showing what is already possible with your theme by default? Or is this explaination sufficient for you

    The demo used was “animals” this demo didn’t use XSTORE brands when it was set up. It uses woocomerce brands

    Video showing Animals Demo Theme providing Brands Carousel via WOOCOMMERCE brands. Xstore brands is not even a part of this demo themes infrastructure. I am NOT saying it is broken, I am saying that it has already been proven possible with this animals demo theme, by default. But not with the niche market theme, by default.

    Hello,

    We appreciate your prompt response.

    We have reviewed your video, and based on our observations, the brands displayed in the admin panel belong exclusively to our theme. It appears that your website is currently using version 9.4.6 of the XStore theme.

    If you update the theme, the brands section will be renamed to XStore Brands, as mentioned in our update history: https://xstore.8theme.com/update-history/ (UPDATED: Dashboard texts for XStore Brands – https://www.8theme.com/topic/duplicate-brand-menus-with-different-taxonomies/#post-431596).

    Additionally, if WooCommerce is updated, WooCommerce brands would also appear. However, based on your video, we can see that only one set of brands is present, which belongs to our theme, and there is no indication of WooCommerce brands. This suggests that the website in the video may not be using the latest versions of the theme and plugins.

    Please let us know if you need any further clarification.

    Hello,

    The old website (using animals demo) pulls the images from the standard WooCommerce section, which means I only need to create the brand list and upload the images 1 time to woocommerce brands, and not to both woocommerce brands and xstore brands. This same image from the woocommerce brands also shows on the single product page, under the buy now button.

    If I am to rebuild the brands section on the new website (niche market) will I also need to build the brands list on WooCommerce brands, so that it can be visible in other areas of the website. Or, will XSTORE brands replace the functionality across the whole website (not just the carousel)

    Hello,

    We would like to clarify that your old website did not have WooCommerce brands. Instead, our brands were listed in the WooCommerce section. After the update, they were renamed, because WooCommerce brands were added, as you can see on your new website. This means that the naming may have caused some confusion.
    To resolve this, please add the following code to your child theme: https://prnt.sc/e2ASPk6WjAPO Once added, you can use XStore Brands on your new website in the same way as the previous brands on your old website.

    Thank you, I provided wp access. I have not had to add code to child theme, so have not had any experience with it.
