Breadcrumbs shop link goes to a ‘house’ icon

Can you tell me what I’ve done wrong and how to fix the ‘shop’ link in the breadcrumbs which goes to a black page with a house icon. Or how to remove the ‘shop’ link from breadcrumbs instead.

Thank you for reaching out to us with your concern.

We currently do not have the correct wp-admin access to your site, which prevents us from checking your settings.

If you would like to remove the “Shop” from the breadcrumbs, please add the following code to your child-theme/functions.php:
add_filter( 'etheme_breadcrumbs_shop_step', '__return_false', 999);

thanks for reply, where exactly does the code go ?
have pasted it child-theme/functions.php, see attachment but ‘shop’ is still in breadcrumb.
