Hi there,
We have bought this theme. We have also bought support, because we seem to be having an issue with “single image” from WPBakery (Visual Composer) breaking everything. We have confirmed with WPBakery and tested everything and have been told there is an incompatibility. Currently I cannot click the “save” button on anything in VC.
I was trying to reply to a thread I saw where someone is having the same issue.
Please assist us?
Thanks in advance.
Hello,
Please check if the same issue persists only with our theme or with a default theme too.
Also, try to disable all 3-rd party plugins and then check.

Hi there,
Yes we have done so thouroghly.
WordPress Bakery has done so too and confirmed from their side.
I will update the ticket as this looks like a no-reply email
Kind regards,

Hello,
If the problem occurs only with our theme and there is no effect of some 3rd party plugins, please provide us with temporary wp-admin and FTP access in the Private Content.

Hi there,
As requested, here are logins to access the site.
Please note that under no circumstances can we afford to lose any data as the site is currently live and functioning.
Please do not make any changes to the content of the site.
Please do not make any front end changes to the live site.
Please do not revert the site to another theme
Please do not deactivate/reactivate every plugin.
As mentioned, we have done this already.
We only need the “Save” on WP Bakeries Visual Composer to work with your theme 🙂
Thanks in advance
Hello,
The wp-admin credentials are incorrect. Please check them.
You use the old version of the theme (latest one is 4.2.1) it can be a reason for the problem, but to give you solid response we need to do some texts. In your case, I would recommend you to create a staging site where we will be able to make changes and not disturb customers.
Also, provide credentials to the staging site (wp-admin and FTP access (FTP hostname, FTP username, FTP password)) in the Private Content area http://prntscr.com/j9gmbb.

Hi there,
Thank you for your quick responses, we are going to try by updating the theme first.
Could you please let me know how to update the theme without anything breaking or changing on the front end? There’s no automatic update for the theme. How do I do it without breaking the site?
If the theme update doesn’t work, we will put it onto a staging site and send credentials etc etc.
Thanks in advance
Hello,
We would not recommend you to update the theme/plugins on production from start to avoid problems after update. It would be better to create a staging site first and make the theme update there, make sure that everything is ok and only after that update everything on the production.
Here is theme changelog – https://themeforest.net/item/woopress-responsive-ecommerce-wordpress-theme/9751050
Instruction for theme update you can find in our documentation – https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/woopress/#!/installation_upgrade
Before uploading theme files delete “woocommerce” folder, which is located in wp-content/themes/woopress/ to avoid problems with old files (it will be reuploaded from a new theme package).
After update you may need to enter your purchase code to activate our new theme version and skip Setup Wizard.
Also, update all the required plugins https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ (to update free plugins just click on update link from your Dashboard (Plugins > Installed Plugins); to update premium plugins, connect to your server using FTP. Copy extracted plugins folders into wp-content/plugins/).
If you edited php files of theme, transfer changes into a child theme https://prnt.sc/j6xhoz.
If you still want to update everything on the production site without staging then do the backup of all the files and DB before the update. Then you’ll be able to restore backup if you face any critical error.
