Cannot install demo - by Steffen - on WordPress WooCommerce support

    when I first install “demo base content” there are some message about not installed some media, but at the end the button text is “Successfully installed”.
    But, when I try thereafter to install the demo (e.g. cleopatra) nothing happens (and no error or anything appears).

    Hi Robert, did you change anything? It seems to me, that it is still not working, beside with every click the menus are getting longer (?).

    Still no demo can be installed, and hte medias are not imported.

    Hello,

    You need to increase the values of upload_max_filesize and post_max_size, no less than 20M.
    Ask your hosting to do it.

    Also you’re using old theme version. Please update to the latest.

    I changed the environmental values to 32M and updatde some plugins. Where can I get the latest theme version?

    Hello,

    You can download the latest version of the Royal theme here:
    http://themeforest.net/item/royal-multipurpose-wordpress-theme/8611976

    Don’t forget to make backup of the site before update.
    Also please see video tutorial how to update theme:

    The video tutorial is for Legenda theme, but the process is identical.

    at the mentioned link there is no possibility to download the theme (unless after buying again)

    You need log in to Envato account to download the latest theme version.

    I did now the update, but nothing changed. Since Roberts helbp, there seems to be more wrong in the system (missinterpreting control characters like [])

    I now set for this subdomain:
    memory_limit: 64M
    max_execution_time: 120
    max_input_time: 60
    post_max_size: 32M
    upload_max_filesize: 32M

    It is still not working to install any demo theme

    I enabled now alle error messages, now I see

    “Sorry, there has been an error.

    What is the meaning of this message?

    there is no safe_mode in php 5.4 and above anymore and my directory uploads and all subdirectories are open for writing for everyone (777).

    Yesterday I configured a new site for that test, just to make sure we had no missconfigurations on the way. So I was just installing a new wordpress and the latest royal theme. But, at the end I got the same problems, I could not install any demo. Is there a bug with your demos?

    Hello,

    I’ve just tried to import xml file with Twenty Fifteen theme and media files couldn’t be imported there too, so the problem persists on your server. Try to check error logs with your hosting provider. There should be some notices about this issue.

    Good morning,

    I tried install the jewelry\’s demo, but I received an error message about failed to import.
    I was looking for on forum and I saw peoples with same trouble. they recommend change some configs (file_get_contents (), allow_url_fopen, upload_max_filesize, post_max_size, max_execution_time and memory_limit), but doesn\’t works.
    Can you help me with it?

    Some server configuration prevented demo template from installing, so I imported it manually.
