    Dear XMarket team,

I saw on the WordPress dashboard this message: This theme requires the following plugin: LayerSlider with a link to “Begin installing plugin”

    1. I clicked the “Begin installing plugin” link
    2. It took me to an “Install Required Plugins” page, with one plugin listed: “LayerSlider”, and a link to “install”
    3. I click “install”
    4. it takes me to a page titled “Installing Plugin: LayerSlider” and says it’s downloading the package from a directory on my website (where I installed your theme). It has several messages and ends with “Plugin installed successfully.

    Plugin activated successfully.”
[it’s looking good so far, but this is where it gets weird]
    5. At the bottom of this page there is a link to “Return to Required Plugins Installer”
    6. I click it, expecting to see it empty now that I installed the plugin
    7. sadly, the plugin is still listed there. And I get the same message on the dashboard that I saw at first: “This theme requires the following plugin: LayerSlider.” And if I go to the plugins page, it says “You need to authorize this site in order to get upgrades or support for this plugin. Purchase a license or enter an existing purchase code.”

It appears to me that it did install but that it is not really a registered version.

I’m hoping this is just a bug in your theme that it continues to appear as though the theme is not installed and registered even though it is.

So here’s my question: Will the LayerSlider get updates in order to keep our site secure?

    Thanks

Thanks so much for your help. The original warning is no longer appearing.

Although when I go to that plugin, I still see a message that says “This site is not yet authorized to receive plugin updates.” (https://www.dropbox.com/s/x8l9282el9i3rxe/Screenshot%202016-01-25%2010.09.44.png?dl=0)

Looks like it wants a purchase code. What next?

    Thanks

    Hello,

All plugins are external extensions which are included into theme because for each product we purchase “Extended license” and that’s why we are able to include it into them. This plugin works fine without activation and you can always get actual version if you want directly from us. The plugins can be downloaded from this link https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ . We update plugins with theme updates from time to time so plugins will be also updated with each next theme update. The option with registering of the plugins has been already added to plugin and this only allows you to get automatic updates and support for this plugin directly from an author if you need. You don’t need to register this product because it is not required but if you want to get those features, then you need to purchase this plugin directly from the author. This is how it works for all themes on Themeforest and not only in our case.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hi,
The purchase code for my Layer Slider bought with the XMarket theme is not valid. It was working but I have had to transfer the website where it featured to a new host and now I can’t activate the slider any more. I do not have Layer slider mounted or functioning anywhere else. Please could you activate my Layer Slider account so that I can rebuild it as soon as possible. Thanks a lot

    Hello @Phil H,

Are you using purchase code of LayerSlider plugin or the theme?
Did you bought it directly from the plugin authors?

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.
