Hi there,
I am in a bit of a situation with a website I am working on which uses Legenda theme. A bit of background…
The original developer made all customisations to the parent theme. In fact they didn’t even create a child theme. If I could slap them across the head, I would. They are also really unhelpful.
The Theme version is 2.2. When I upgrade WordPress (on a staging version of the site) it breaks.
I am fairly confident that the only core files that have been customised are those in the Woocommerce folder and functions.php however, it’s very hard to tell as all ‘last edited on’ dates on the files are from the day of transfer to the hosting. Which was a long while back.
I have been able to update all other plugins apart from Woocommerce and the site is running fine.
Would it be possible for me to update the theme with only certain folders included? This is really driving me crazy so any help would be greatly appreciated.
I do have a staging copy of the site which I can use to test any changes out.
Many thanks
Billy
Hello,
In this case, you need to compare your files of theme and files from the archive of 2.2 version (if you have this one without changes or we may send you such archive of the theme) and transfer changes to your child theme. Then you need update theme, woocommerce, all required plugins https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ and at last, you will be able to update WordPress correctly.
According to our changelog – http://prntscr.com/ga4449 https://themeforest.net/item/legenda-responsive-multipurpose-wordpress-theme/5888906 (also 3.3 version was tested with WordPress 4.8.1v).
Regards
Thank you. Can you send me the archive please?

Hello,
Unfortunately, the latest theme version that we saved is 2.8. Sorry.
But you may create a development copy of the site, and update the theme on this dev site https://www.8theme.com/reply/169320/, instal child theme and try to recreate needed changes in the child theme. Make changes on your test site, to correctly implement these on main site.
You may use the 1 license for the 1 dev domain and 1 live domain. So you may use your purchase code on the development site. But keep in mind that you can use our theme license for 1 end product only.
Regards
