CAPTCHA framework not stable - by nic_and_mel

    Hi!

    My CAPTCHA does not always work. Sometimes the image shows up, sometimes not (just a question mark). I use this for both registering to the site and to send us messages via the built in form in woo press, so it is a big problem if this does not work.

    it seems to have something to do with the cache plugin I use (zencache). Could this be it? And how do I fix this?

    Can you please check what might be wrong?

    Now the site should work. Its quite slow, since the provider has som issues, but now it is working at least. Please see what you can do trgarding my problem.

    Hello,

    I’ve commented the line Deny from all in the file wp-content/themes/woopress/framework/inc/really-simple-captcha/.htaccess and cleared the cache via FTP.
    Please check captcha now.

    DO you think it will keep woking once the site is cashed again (i.e., does captcha work with cache plug ins?)

    Hello!

    This has nothing to do with this issue, but I am trying to start a new topic, but I can not start a new topic. Why is that? Also I tried to send you information via contact us, but a technical issue just forwards me to the forum, where I can not start a new topic…

    The question I have is that with the latest WP-update (4.5.2) The visual composer does not work anymore in the backend (dashboard). The items are not visible so I can not use them to make change.. When I turn of visual composer, the pages and products work as they should, howvere of course then the site looks all wrong.

    Do you have any info regarding this, since the VC must work for me to be able to work with the site.

    Hello again!

    I just noticed that if I have visual compose active, but turn of ultimate add ons (or any other add-on plug in I have for Visual Composer), then it works.

    So I can use the VC, without the add-ons. The problem is that I have used a few add ons on the site, so if I turn them of, then the site looks bad. But if I turn them on my backend / dashboard does not work.

    Do you have any idea what can be wrong?

    Hi!

    This is weird. I have tried in both safari and firefox, I have emptied all cache (browser and cached pages), I have turned of the cache-plugin I use and so on, but still when I have the add ons (ultimate add ons or Visual Composer Extensions All In One) it does not work for me.

    If you go to pages, all pages and then choose a page to edit, does the VC editor work?

    ALso, how come I can not start a new topic?

    What error are you getting when trying to create a new topic?
    Are you unable to edit a page using frontend VC editor or backend editor. Try to check in Chrome browser also.

    Hi!

    I do not get an error. I do not find where to do it. Previously it was under the topics in the forum, but now there is no where i can find to start a new topic.

    I am not able to use either backend or fronted editor. When I activate the ultimate addons, or other VC addons, I can not even see the VC editor on the pages/products, and only hyperlinks work on the page, not any other elements like the arrows for instance for most sen, or the tabs for visual/text.     As soon as I turn off the ultimate addons or other addons for VC, I can see VC-editor and everything works normally.

    I have tried chrome and the issue is the same. Very strange since you are seeing the VC editor and everything works, correct?

    Try to increase memory_limit value on a server (ask your hosting provider support to do this) and check editor after that.

    Hi, ok, noted for the topic.

    Regarding the VC-issue, The memory limit is now 512M (up from 96M) but no change. And what is strange is that you can see the VC editor, meaning it works on the server…

    What OS do you use, and what browser?

    I tested in Firefox and Chrome browsers on Ubuntu OS.
    Everything works fine there.

    Hi again. Since it works from you browser, then I guess it is not an issue with the server/host.Then it should not work for you either.

    I now turned all plugins off and activated them one by one and i noticed that when I activate the WPML-plugin, the vc editor disappears from my pages/posts/products… and when I turn it of it returns, and I can work it.

    So, I can keep the wpml and only VC and it works, but if I then activate the ultimate addons for VC, then I have to turn wpml of for VC to work again.

    This is very strange, and stranger still is that you can see VC editor when everything is activated, but I can’t…

    I really don’t know how to solve this.

    Unfortunately we can’t replicate the issue you’re experiencing.
    We see VC editor with WPML and Ultimate VC Addons plugins activated.
    Have you tried different browsers to check the editor?

    Hello!

    Still having issues with VC. It works sometimes on my laptop, but never on my iMac. I have read somewhere that the latest version is 4.11.2.1, but here I can only download 4.11.2. Do you have access to 4.11.2.1 that I can install? This sometimes fixes the issues of VC not loading.
