On my support query of last week I was told to install a patch to fix an outdated copy of a file which related to the cart which I did.

I made some changes to the cart page after that patch install.

As a requirement of Klarna, I had to install some code on the Cart page and at the same time I put the same code on the product pages (via a Klarna plugin). Today I updated the Theme to Version 9.2.9 and it seems to have overwritten those changes. This code is now not displaying on the pages as it was.

I have checked the settings, all is still the same and the plugin is activated so I do not know what is stopping this block of code from displaying.

Please see screenshots of what it looked like before the update. https://prnt.sc/21TdJamUKl4y and https://prnt.sc/m3lznAonj664

    Hi,
I don’t understand how you are seeing it. I can only see it displayed when using Chrome (while logged into my admin panel), the same page on a Chrome Incognito page does not display the Klarna box. I have tried Edge, Firefox and Mobile and it does not display on any of them. I have also cleared the website cache & CDN.

The code was generated through the Klarna plugin so I don’t have ‘custom code’. It is all still set up and activated as it was before I updated the Theme, no changes have been made.

Please let me know what I can do next. Thanks, Debbie

    Dear Debbie,

We hope this message finds you well.

We have identified an issue where the Klarna payment scripts were experiencing conflicts with the SiteGround Optimize feature, specifically concerning JavaScript optimization.

To address this, we have temporarily disabled the JavaScript optimization, which has resulted in the Klarna interface becoming visible once more. You can view the current display at the following link: https://prnt.sc/Pn_Ak6RWwVXL

We kindly request that you clear the website’s caches at your earliest convenience to ensure that these changes are fully propagated. Additionally, we would appreciate it if you could verify the functionality of the Klarna interface post-clearance to confirm that the issue has been resolved.

Your prompt attention to this matter is greatly appreciated. Should you require any further assistance or encounter additional issues, please do not hesitate to reach out.

    Best regards,
    8Theme’s Team

    Hi,
I have cleared the cache and the CDN and both pages are now displaying the Klarna payments info so thank you for sorting that out.
Can you let me know though, if the javascript optimisation being disabled will make my website slower or anything?

    Thanks, Debbie

    Dear Debbie,

We hope this message finds you well.

We would like to inform you that the minification of JavaScript files is acceptable and is anticipated to proceed without issue. However, it is imperative that the JavaScript scripts associated with Klarna are neither combined nor deferred.

For your reference, please find the relevant screenshot linked below:
