Hi, I have a question about the checkout process. I have designed the shopping cart page and the checkout page but am running into a few issues.

Firstly, the shopping cart shows the option to calculate shipping costs for a customer who is not logged in. The customer can enter his place of residence in the Netherlands or Belgium and then enter a zip code. If you do that, a process seems to start, but unfortunately nothing happens. Is this a bug in the system? Is there a setting that is not correct for me? Do I need to connect something (for example an API)? At this point it is actually not useful because a customer is stuck in the shopping cart because they are not able to see the shipping costs. Many customers will drop out. And so this is a serious problem for me.

Secondly, it is not possible to change quantities in the checkout screen (the step after the shopping cart). The + / – buttons are shown, but if you adjust the numbers, a process starts to then reset the numbers to what they were. Now I have read that this is standard with Woocommerce and an annoyance for many users. I have enabled the option to change quantities in the Xstore > Theme options > Advanced shopping cart/checkout, but this has no effect on the checkout screen. So change quantities in the shopping cart, not in the checkout screen. Here too, the question is whether I am overlooking an option somewhere that needs to be enabled or whether it is a serious problem in the operation of the shopping cart.

I have already looked at a plug-in such as fluid checkout, but I don’t know if that could cause problems with my theme. I therefore hope that you can answer the above questions and resolve the problems. Thanks for the reply.

    Dear @Arnan,

We hope this message finds you well.

1/ Your question about calculations of shipping cost is a basic WooCommerce functionality so you may test how it works with the default Storefront theme. In case you face any issue with our XStore theme that does not show with the default theme, please, describe them and we will try to figure out the reasons of it and provide you or globally possible solutions for fixing.

2/ We wish to inform you that the Advanced Cart/Checkout settings available in the Theme Options do not function when your Cart/Checkout pages are constructed using Elementor Cart/Checkout widgets. Unfortunately, there is no universal code that enables us to toggle the visibility of such sections in the Theme Options based on the builder content or if their content is displayed via shortcode.

To address this, we kindly request that you navigate to your Checkout page and select ‘Edit with Elementor’. You can do so by following this link: https://prnt.sc/Gq1Z-pLj51W0. We are confident that you will find numerous settings for the Checkout page element that should be functional, as shown here: https://prnt.sc/6gF_vx8nFaQt.

We look forward to your response and are here to assist with any further inquiries you might have.

    Best Regards,
    Jack Richardson
