Hi,

If i hover over an category image there is an overlay that shows the category name and the product count number for this category.

Is there an option that also shows the product description (excerpt) when hovering the category images?

Hello,

Could you provide me screenshot of the category you are talking about? Does your category include only one product? Because I don’t understand how product category should be related to 1 product description. Or you want to show all the descriptions?
Please, explain in more details.

It is for the category ‘Merken’ (= Brands)
The subcategories has many products.
Hope you understand what i mean :-/

Hello,

Nope, actually, I don’t understand what product excerpt you want to show over the product category. Anyway, Category does not have such option. You may try Massive Addons element (plugin in included) if you want to change the design of the product categories, for example, http://massive.mpcthemes.net/product-category/

But as I know it also does not have excerpt option.

I see. Nope, there is no such option by default. Only be additional customization.

Hi,

Ok, now i understand what you mean with the Massive Panel plugin.
I do some research, but how can i change the image hover effects on the product-category-page with Massive Panel?

UPDATE: i find it: 8theme Options -> E-Commerce -> Categories

But how can i change the effect like this?

Hello,

This plugin allows you to create pages using Massive Addons elements and display product categories there using special element and its settings http://prntscr.com/erzyix . Options in our theme are related to categories that Shop page displays if you set it in WC > Settings > Products > Display or to our element 8theme – Product Categories and we don’t have such advanced options as Massive Addons element.
