Change the excerpt length on the homepage

Hello,

I’d like to change the excerpt length on blog posts that show on our homepage, but keep them as normal everywhere else. Is there a filter or function I could use to do this?

Hello,

For clarify. Do you want to change number posts on home page?
If yes, you can do it. Navigate to Pages->Edit home page->Post grid->edit and select how much you want.

As stated in my original post I want to change the excerpt length, not the amount of posts that show.

ok Robert thank you. Can I just ask if the theme uses the standard wordpress excerpt function or a custom one?
