Changing the product hover over? - by jonarobinson

Hi,

Just wondering how I would go about changing the hover effect for the product page?

As you can see from the screenshot above, when I hover over a product, you can see a magnifying glass icon – I was hoping to maybe change that to a word or something that covers the full width of the product? Maybe the wording ‘Quick Buy’ or something along those lines?

Hello,

You can go to Theme Options > Products Page Layout > Product Image Hover and change it.

Thats not quite what I mean, when you hover over a product a overlay with a magnifying glass appears, I was hoping to change the magnifying glass icon to a wording or something more noticeable?

Hello,

You need edit the file wp-content/themes/royal/woocommerce/content-product.php in line 130.

Thats great thanks – however i am not great at code and looking at that i am not quite sure how I would add the Wording ‘Click here to Quick Buy’ or something along those lines?

Any guidance would be great?

Hello,

Sorry have not been able to get FTP access details from my IT department as im working for a larger company – I have however uploaded the file to dropbox – if possible could you amend the file for me and send it back?

Im hoping to change the hover effect in the overlay, to include the words ‘Click to Quick Buy’ to go alongside the magnifying glass icon on the product display page?

Also – is this something that will disappear once I update the theme?

I have included the dropbox link in the private content thanks.

I’ve edited the file. Please download it https://www.dropbox.com/s/toksbf6k8dwt004/content-product.php?dl=0

We recommend to upload it to child theme https://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes not to lose changes after theme update.
