Checkout allows to get through shipping details without providing required info

I’m using advanced layout for Cart/Checkout Layout with Layout: ‘Separated’.

However when I get to Billing Details step in the checkout process I can proceed to the next step without getting any error that I have not provided required field values.

This happens on mobile and desktop.

Is there any way to prevent from proceeding to the next steps if required Billing Details are not provided? Even if it would require doing some js/php?

We would like to inform you that if you wish to modify the existing behavior of the Separated type, it can be accomplished through additional customization in files. However, please be aware that such additional customization in files is not covered under our basic support scope.
