    HI There,

I’d like to use the new checkout builder function in 9.2 but I can’t see it in my version even though the theme is updated to 9.2.

Is this because the checkout builder used Elementor?

I use WP Bakery on our site, so can I have both Elementor and Bakery installed to utilise the options?

If not, what happens if I swap over to Elementor? Will I need to re-format all the pages and functions that use WP Bakery?

    Thanks

    Guy

    Hello, Plusout,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your query regarding the checkout builder function in version 9.2 of our theme.

The checkout builder feature you are referring to is indeed designed to work with Elementor https://www.8theme.com/documentation/documentation/xstore-builders/xstore-builders-getting-started/ . If you are currently using WP Bakery as your page builder, you won’t be able to see the checkout builder function as it is not compatible with WP Bakery.

It is possible to have both Elementor and WP Bakery installed on your site; however, we generally do not recommend using two page builders simultaneously as it can lead to potential conflicts and performance issues. If you decide to proceed with both, you would use Elementor specifically for the checkout builder functionality while continuing to manage the rest of your site with WP Bakery.

Should you choose to switch over to Elementor entirely, it is important to note that you would need to recreate the pages and elements that were originally designed with WP Bakery in Elementor. This process would involve re-formatting your pages and adjusting your design to work with Elementor’s interface and features.

We understand that transitioning between page builders can be a significant undertaking. If you decide to make the switch, we recommend doing so on a staging environment first to ensure that your live site remains unaffected during the transition process.

We hope this information is helpful.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team
