    Dear Support,

I am experiencing an issue with the XStore theme on my WooCommerce site. When attempting to modify the checkout fields (billing and shipping information) using a field editor plugin, any changes made to field options such as required, optional, or hidden are not being reflected on the front end.

I have already taken the following steps:

    Cleared all forms of cache

Disabled all other plugins to rule out conflicts

Verified that the field editor plugin is active and up to date

Despite this, the field settings are not applying. I suspect the theme may be overriding the default WooCommerce templates. Could you please advise on how to ensure custom field settings are respected when using the XStore theme?

    Kind regards,

    Hello, James H,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

1/ To assist you more effectively, we kindly request that you record a video demonstrating the issue and the steps leading to it. This will help us better understand and replicate the problem on our end.
Upload the video on a filesharing service, for example – https://wetransfer.com/ , and provide us with the URL.

2/ Could you please provide temporary wp-admin and FTP access? We will check what can be done to help you.
To grant WP-Admin access, please proceed to create a new user account with an administrator role through your WordPress Dashboard. Once the account is established, you may securely transmit the username and password to us via the Private Content section designated for this purpose.

For FTP access, we require the following details: FTP host, FTP username, FTP password, FTP port, and FTP encryption type. If you need assistance in creating these credentials, please reach out to your hosting provider who will guide you through the process.

    Warm Regards,
    The 8Theme Team

    Hello, James H,

    We appreciate your prompt response.

We were unable to log in using the credentials you provided – https://prnt.sc/6kk-baknafsy

Could you please test if the same issue occurs when using a default theme, such as Storefront? (Appearance > Themes).
If the behavior continues regardless of the theme being used, it suggests that the problem may not be related to the theme itself. In this case, we would recommend you contact support of woocommerce plugin – https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce/

    Warm Regards,
    The 8Theme Team
