    Dear support,
I have bought your theme woopress and replaced the old theme version on server. Same with all plugins. Now I am not sure, whether I really have all my Woopress/Wordpress stuff updated to latest version.
    Questions:
    – Woopress still shows version 1.0. even I have updated it to latest version, something wrong?
    – Where in backend do I see, if it is the latest plugin and theme version?
    – what about my old child theme, do I have to update child theme as well? But then all my current changes get lost, no?

Lokking forward to get response soon :))

    Cheers,
    Iz

    Hello,

If you’re using child theme now then the version of your child theme is shown, which is written in child style.css file. You don’t need to update child theme. To check the version of the parent theme go to wp-content/themes/woopress directory on your server and view style.css file. Theme version is written there.
Concerning the plugins, please provide us with wp-admin panel credentials to check them.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

In theme in style.css it is version 2.3.
In child theme style.css it is still 1.0.

    What now?
How can I update child theme?
Just handling it like plugin update?
but then files will be overwritten. Will I loose all my child theme stuff then?

    Thanks for detailled information.
Will send you login for admin panel in private content.

    Bye
    Iz

    Hello,

You shouldn’t pay attention to the version that is written in your child style.css file. You can write any version you want there.
The current version that you’re using is written in wp-content/themes/woopress/style.css. So you shouldn’t worry about what version is written your child style.css.

    Dear Eva,
before your clearly said I should update the child theme. The theme is updated already.
So what now? Updating child theme yes or no?
And will I loose my current changes when updating child theme? Is it the same proceedures like updatung plugins?
Please read my questions I asked before. I didn’t get answers to it yet.
    Thank you :))
