Hi,
I have just tried to change something on my homepage but the way edits are done in pages is missing. The classic mode shows code in both visual and text display. When I click frontend edit it starts loading but never actually loads the page to edit.I have done research and seen many people are having this problem but cannot understand how to fix it. Can you please help?

Hello,
You’re using very old Visual Composer version. Update it to 4.12 version and other plugins too. The archives are located at this page https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ .
You need upload new versions via FTP.

Eva Kemp.
Thank you Eva. Is it possible to give you FTP details as I don’t know how to update a plugin on FTP?
Hello,

Hi,
Yes it is all there now 🙂 However it will not let me change a picture for example in the homepage I am trying to change the single picture but it will not let me save any changes. Not sure if this is related?
Hello,
As I see the theme version you are using is old too. You need to update it to the latest version
Before update delete “woocommerce” folder in the directory wp-content/themes/legenda/ and it’ll be reuploaded from a new theme package.
Don’t forget to create back up of your files and database before starting update process!
Best regards,
Jack Richardson.
Oh no! Is this something you could do for me as well?
Hello,
Please create backup of your site files and database and notify us to start the theme update process.
You can ask your hosting provider support to help you with site backup.
Best regards,
Jack Richardson.
Hi, thank you backup has been done.
My website has crashed, I am just talking to my server to fix the problem, so please just hold with the theme update so they do not clash with your work.

Hello,
I’ve updated the theme for you.
Please check your site now.
Best regards,
Jack Richardson.
Ok great! Everything is working now!
I am still getting a message that says ‘Your theme (LEGENDA – 8theme WordPress theme) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. You can see which files are affected from the system status page. If in doubt, check with the author of the theme.’ Should this have left with the update?
Hello,
You shouldn’t worry about those notices. They won’t affect your site at all. We edited Woocommerce files in wp-content/themes/legenda/woocommerce directory and old version may be written in those files. But, please don’t worry, as the original version is written in wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/templates directory.
So you can hide this message.
Best regards,
Jack Richardson.
Ok thank you for all your help!
Hello,
You’re welcome.
