Classico ecommerce – how to install demo variant 1

Hi,

I am new to Classico but not new to themes on wordpress.

How do I install variant1 ?

Have figured it out from documentation.

The top menu is not behaving properly. The menu heading colors merge with the white background and only appears in black when you have scrolled down enough. When the page first opens, it seems the menu header text in white expects some kind of background image.

Please advise.

Hello,

I’ve changed header type to the 3rd type in 8Theme Options > General > Header Type.
Please clear browser cache and check header now.

Thank you again Eva.

I select variant 4 -> save changes and the site header menu text doesn’t appear until you scroll down. According to variant 4, the menu text should be in black but it seems white here .

Setting the background colour in header option as black is also not showing on the final website.I have cleared the cache.

Am I missing something here ?

Also when I installed demo content for Victoria, shouldn’t the footer look the same as the demo version on your site?

also the featured our process, collection and about us section as in ( https://www.8theme.com/demo/classico/variant1/#)before featured products and just below main banner is missing from Victoria demo installed.

Hello,

As I see menu items are black color now:

Concerning the footer you can import it in wp-admin > Tools > Import > WordPress and import footer variant that you can found in the theme package in “XML Files” folder > “Footer variants” folder.
Then you’ll see that footer in Static Block section.
Go to Appearance > Widgets > “Footer Area” and drag “Static Block” widget in there select the block that you imported.

Thanks again Eva.

How do I customize this footer and do things like
1. change the classico logo
2. change the designed by ….
3. put the payment methods instead of that
4. put quicklinks to terms and conditions, refunds etc.

I have already scoured through forum but no particular information in particular on this subject. I expected the documentation for footer to be more than a para in Classico.

Hello,

You need edit footer block in wp-admin panel > Static Blocks > edit Footer Variant that you imported. To enable Visual Composer editor for Static blocks go to Visual Composer > General Settings > mark all “Content types”.
Then you’ll be able to edit footer block.
Please specify where you see “designed by ….” text.
