    Hello,

    I would like to make a website like this “http://www.gerryfarrellink.com/” using your landing page:

    https://www.8theme.com/demo/royal/?page_id=18568&et_styles=0-0-0-8-0-0

    My website at the moment is http://www.midushivacations.com

    Can you please help me to put my Logo centered and also the rest of the text and video?

    Also I would like to know how to setup the mailchimp newsletter with this theme. I only have to install the mailchimp plugin that you can get via wordpress.com?

    Appologies for putting the ticket as “High” due that this Sunday I need to give some presentation and would like to setup a coming soon page at least on the site.

    Please let me know.

    Thank you.

    Hi Eva,

    Please check once more. What I would like to accomplish is that I want a video background, sosial media icons, the top text can stay, and the news letter which clients can subscribe to know when the website will be launched. The Timer I want to remove.

    This is the text which I would like to stay.

    (We are currently working on awesome
    new site. Stay tuned!

    Ok now is showing a better view how its looking. So I want to have a black layer on top of the video which still shows all the text visible. Is there a way to do this via CSS or any option?

    Also I’m pending on the mailchimp option. How do I use this?

    Thanks Eva.

    Good Day Eva,

    Ok let me explain .. If you go on to my website (www.midushivacations.com) you will noticed that the video is not properly fit in the window page of your screen/browser. when you scroll down you will notice that there will be a black bar on top. Also I have follow the instructions prior to report this case. Another question I had was how can I add a “Pattern” or “Mask” like this website http://www.501secur.com that covers the image and also make the text visible a bit more?

    Please, contact administrator
    for this information.

    Hello,

    You can try to use some third-party plugin to implement such functionality.

    Regards,
    Robert Hall.

    Hi Robert,

    I dont thin a third part plugin will help here. If you see the video again you will noticed that there is a problem or a bug with the theme when it comwes to video. The video should show full screen whitout problema right?

    The theme somehow cannot support such video, if the theme has a bug I would appreciate you addreaa thia but not a third party. This way I know if I put a video or leave it behind.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Hi Eva,

    Yes you where correct ;-). I have set it as public and now is showing. Also this is the black bar I was telling about:

    http://i1340.photobucket.com/albums/o728/LibardoBarreto/JUNK/BAR_zps40170f1f.png

    I also noticed in some browser the video is not full width. Is there a way to always have it full width? I tried it with Chrome Version 31.0.1650.63 which shows the black bar.

    Is it also possible to add this type of CSS code in the custom.css file? This way I can set a layer in front of the video to make the text in color white more visible.

    #transy{
    width: 100%;
    height: 100%;
    float: left;
    background: #19242A;
    opacity: 0.8;
    filter: alpha(opacity=80);
    position: absolute;
    z-index: -1;
    }

    Hello,

    In what browser you have not full width?
    Did you tried to add this code and it worked? If so, then you can use it.

    Regards,
    Robert Hall.

    Hi Robert,

    I tried this code but it does not help:

    #transy{
    width: 100%;
    height: 100%;
    float: left;
    background: #19242A;
    opacity: 0.8;
    filter: alpha(opacity=80);
    position: absolute;
    z-index: -1;
    }

    Is there another code?

    Also I have update the Google Chrome to the latest version (Version 38.0.2125.104 m) and still see the same problem here. http://i1340.photobucket.com/albums/o728/LibardoBarreto/JUNK/BAR_zps40170f1f.png

    I tried also in Firefox and Internet Explorer is the same on my end.

    You don’t need this code. The page looks good without opacity code.

    Thanks Robert but the text does not look visible for customers read it properly. Which is why I would like to add a opacity code. Is there any other way we can do so please? A few hints below maybe?

    img {
    opacity: 0.4;
    filter: alpha(opacity=40); /* For IE8 and earlier */
    }

    img:hover {
    opacity: 1.0;
    filter: alpha(opacity=100); /* For IE8 and earlier */
    }

    img {
    opacity: 0.4;
    filter: alpha(opacity=40); /* For IE8 and earlier */
    }

    Also I have update the Google Chrome to the latest version (Version 38.0.2125.104 m) and still see the same problem here. http://i1340.photobucket.com/albums/o728/LibardoBarreto/JUNK/BAR_zps40170f1f.png

    Or maybe:

    div {
    width: 200px;
    height: 200px;
    display: block;
    position: relative;
    }

    div::after {
    content: “”;
    background: url(image.jpg);
    opacity: 0.5;
    top: 0;
    left: 0;
    bottom: 0;
    right: 0;
    position: absolute;
    z-index: -1;
    }

    Hello @commersant19,

    You can install some template variant of Coming Soon pages in Theme Options > Import/Export and set it as a home page in Settings > Reading.

    Thank you.
