Dear Support Team
When the XStore Core Plugin is installed I cannot edit or create a new Gravity Form. As soon as I deactivate the mentioned Core Plugin I can continue to edit the Gravity Forms. I have taken this up with Gravity Forms and is now reporting this here as I do not know which plugin is causing the conflict between the Gravity Forms Plugin and the XStore Core Plugin. Since both 8Theme and Gravity Forms are big players in the WordPress Community it may be a good thing if this can be taken up with Gravity Forms.
The website is currently on a development server indicated below in the relevant block.
Kind regards
Eitel
Hello, Eitel,
Thank you for contacting us and for using XStore.
We do not give a guarantee for full theme compatibility with all existing 3rd party plugins. Sometimes, not always, you need additionally customize the theme or plugin to make them work together. Unfortunately, it’s not possible for the author to make the theme compatible with all the existing plugins and additional customization is outside the scope of our basic support.
Provide temporary wp-admin and FTP access, then I will be able to pass this question to our dev team.
To provide wp-admin access, you can create a new user account with administrator role via the Dashboard, and provide us with the username and password via the Private Content area.
To create FTP access, please contact your hosting provider for assistance.
Kind Regards,
8theme team
Hello Rose
I fully understand that you cannot guarantee compatibility with “all existing 3rd party plugins”. It is however a pity that I my request to both 8theme and Gravity Forms to have a look/discussion together in this regard is ignored and not considered by either company.
I have in the meantime found an exhausting but workable workaround.
Please regard this topic/discussion as closed.
