hi, I have added am excerpt but it doesn’t work….
I did everything as it shows here: https://www.8theme.com/topic/blog-layout/

My website is http://www.platinum-sun.com

https://www.platinum-sun.com/blog/ currently i use the plugin advanced.excerpt to make the text appear and I had to copy the excerpt text to the main article in order to make it appear.

Hello,

You didn’t add Posts Grid element on the Blog page as written in the topic you included:

In this case we recommend you to create a page for your blog and use Posts Grid element in Visual Composer editor. There you need select Teaser (excerpt) for “Content” in Posts Grid settings and add an excerpt with “Read more” link for each post

Please try it.

Hello,

You need add this code to an excerpt of each post:
<a href="link_to_your_full_post" class="button right read-more">Read More</a>

Hello,

I’ve updated Visual Composer plugin but the issue persists.
As I see you’re using old theme version.
Please update it to 2.4.1 version:
https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/legenda/index.html#!/installation (paragraph “Theme Upgrade”).
Don’t forget to create a backup of your files and database before the update.

Is there any other way to update the template? Like to add some new lines in a code? As I told you I have made some changes in the template itself and I am not sure what exactly has been changed. So the update of the template might cause messed up webpage.

Hello,

Sorry, but there is no other way.
Can’t you find the files that were edited? You should move them to child theme not to lose the modifications. Perhaps you can find them by date when you edited them.

Hello,

1. I’ve recreated the Blog page with the link http://www.platinum-sun.com/blog-2/ . Please check it. You can add it to your menu instead of the previous blog page.
2. To fix the warnings you need go to Products > Categories > open category and re-save it. Errors will disappear. The problem is related to changes made in category header editor.
