Custom widget areas – How to create?

    Hello,
    In documentation for Footer You say:
    … Go to Appearance > Widgets and create custom widget areas: …

    But in Appearance > Widgets there is no button or link for creating custom areas.
    There is only button for Custom Sidebars?
