Database connection Error on the website

Apparently i am seeing database connection error on homepage and on product pages too
here is a screenie for the issue

i have updated the theme to latest i installed patches today for the website.

thanks a ton for your reply i upgraded my hosting it was the point of bottleneck and causing database error
