Hello,
For the past weeks my website appeared to be VERY slow, even ending in time outs at certain times (front end & backend).
At first i thought it had something to to with Cloudflare (recently set up) but after some digging i found that the et-core-plugin is the culprit.
I have 2 detailed diagnostic pdf files below.
Thanks.
Hello, Ministry Of Concrete,
Thank you for contacting us and for using XStore.
Please try to remove next widgets from the sidebar and check how it works then – https://prnt.sc/FM29TUp8fk9g
Let us know the result.
After that, please provide temporary wp-admin and FTP access, so we can check the situation more deeply.
Kind Regards,
8theme team
Hello,
I guess you want to test if that is the issue but FYI, its not possible for us to permanently remove those widgets as they’re fundamental functions to our e-shop.
Also the issue is happening only on the sales menu item. Maybe its because in the link is included a filtered parameter (sales)? But still it should not take this long.
Find the credentials below.
Hello,
Please provide FTP access also (FTP host, FTP username, FTP password, FTP port, FTP encryption). To create FTP access, please contact your hosting provider for assistance.
Kind Regards,

Sorry i misunderstood.
There you go.
Hello, Ministry Of Concrete,
We are pleased to announce that we have successfully improved the performance of the next widgets:
8theme – Filter Products by Brands
8theme – Filter Products by Categories
By introducing a cache of the number of available products. This has reduced the loading time of
8theme – Filter Products by Categories from 25.03sec to 15.61sec
Details in the screenshots:
https://prnt.sc/id0l-ydEDnPP
https://prnt.sc/qiuSX2mp6GFo
8theme – Filter Products by Categories from 6.39sec to 3.27sec
Details in the screenshots:

https://prnt.sc/ZIC3WKNM_zh-
This also reduces the number of database queries, however, the cache will be updated once every 24 hours and the widgets will load with the improved speed during this process.
Changes have been made to the following files:
et-core-plugin/app/models/widgets/brands-filter.php
et-core-plugin/app/models/widgets/categories-filter.php
These changes will also be included in the upcoming update.
Unfortunately, we cannot avoid this process as it will result in the widgets displaying brands and categories with all products out of stock.
To further improve the page loading speed, we recommend using the “Use ajax preload for this widget” option. This will significantly improve the initial page loading speed.
We hope this information is helpful.
Kind Regards,
8theme team
