I have read the documentation about the frequently bought together option. I thought the output would be based on orders of others who actually frequently bought certain products together haha. But it seems it works just like the crossell option? Could you tell me the difference between them? Why would someone just not use the crossell function?

    Kind regards,
    Nancy

    Hello, Nancy,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your query regarding the ‘frequently bought together’ and ‘cross-sell’ options.

You are correct in observing that both features may seem similar at first glance, as they both aim to suggest additional products to customers. However, there is a subtle difference between the two.

The ‘Cross-Sell’ products feature operates independently of the site’s active theme. This is because the functionality is inherent to WooCommerce, and further details can be found in their documentation: https://woo.com/document/related-products-up-sells-and-cross-sells/

Conversely, the ‘Frequently Bought Together’ feature has been developed by our team. It is unique in its presentation of products, which can be viewed here: https://prnt.sc/5ZedT7_FlC5w

The choice between using ‘frequently bought together’ or ‘cross-sell’ depends on the specific strategy and goals of the store.

We hope this clarifies the distinction between the two options. If you have any further questions or need assistance with anything else, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team
