Hi,
After some trying, I couldn’t translate Royal theme in Italian. I have created the .po and .mo files from Royal.pot but some label keep remain in English.
Could you help me and tell me why the translations file doesn’t work?

Hi, same here, cannot translate my site in french, it always displays “cart” instead of “panier”, like written in .po file… any advice ? FTP access in private. Thanks !

Great thanks, CAN you tell me how you did it ? Because, there are other things to be translated (Like in the top bar, “Logout” for example).
I know this isn’t the right thread for my issue – however, I have no idea what happened to the Create New Topic button in my account. I am having an problem with the “reset password” link in Royal theme. (for my website users) Can staff please create a topic for me in the appropriate spot? The reset password link does send an email to the customer account when the customer enters their email address. The link to reset the password contained in the email then takes them back to the same page, where they have to fill in their email address again – it’s like it’s stuck in a loop. Thank you and sorry for posting this in an unrelated thread. (Can you also find out where my Create a New Topic button for this forum went?)

Hi Eva, i need your help again. The subject is different so i wanted to create a topic but failed. Here are my problems :
1) In the header, i have on the left, a box for social sharing (which i have deleted from the admin). Now i have this empty box that i don’t want. How can i deleted it ?
2) I now have my website in french and english, thanks to you, but, how can i add a language switcher without using an external plugin (like WPML that you advice in another topic). Is it possible ? Can you advice a free tool (WPML isn’t free) that only uses the .mo file i have (fr_FR), something that doesn’t translate my website.

I checked this issue on my local installation and didn’t get it.
Please update the theme to the latest version.
Before update delete “woocommerce” folder in the directory wp-content/themes/royal/ and it’ll be reuploaded from a new theme package.
Also update all required plugins https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ .
Don’t forget to create back up of your files and database before starting update process!
(it’s for Legenda theme but the process is the same).

I have some problem to translate string like “View Cart”, “Checkout” and other label of cart. My site is http://www.pasticceriamosaico.com. I have translate all the royal po file, but for that strings the translation doesn’t work. How can I translate?

You need update theme to the latest version (3.0.2.1), find it on ThemeForest where you bought theme https://themeforest.net/item/royal-multipurpose-wordpress-theme/8611976
Log in to your account and go to the Downloads area.
Then follow the documentation to update theme https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/royal/#!/installation_upgrade
Don’t forget to create backup of your files and database before starting update process!
You need to enter your purchase code to activate the theme and skip Setup Wizard.
Also, update all required plugins: https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/.
Then you need to synchronize translation files after update to get new strings.
You may update your translation .po file as described here http://betterwp.net/wordpress-tips/create-pot-file-using-poedit./ (the section “Updating a .po (and .mo) file”).
or
Button Sync (Loco Translate plugin) allows you to synchronize your translation file with updated pot file. It means if we made any changes in template files that may affect transaltion or we added new string for the translation and you updated theme you need to synchronize your translation with updated files. Only after synchronization, you’ll be able to translate new strings or strings that were changed. You may lose only strings that were changed.
Also, don’t forget to backup all the files before any update.

Hi,
I have just done the update and still not work. Some strings change in english (like Cart for a second is CARRELLO and after some seconds change in CART).
Please fix it immediatly for our business.

The file .po and .mo contains the translation for “View Cart” and “Recently added item(s)” but after the update file they keep remain in English.
If think that is a problem about your theme that can’t take the translation value.

Again all the steps in the instructions.
Translated with the help of the program poedit, the file filled in the directory of the theme (.po .mo) in the file wp-config lines added $locale=’ru_RU’;
However, nothing has changed (remained COST: )
In addition, the manual does not say that you need to install the plugin LOCO TRANSLATE. But it doesn’t matter.
