Display most recent post in full, with featured image, post & pagination

Hi! Wondered if there was an easy way to do this on the home page or any page in fact.

I would like to display the most recent post on a page, with the title, featured image then the entire text of the post. At the end of the post I need some pagination to other posts.

It also needs to be on a page with other elements, a slider for example.

Is there a quick way to do this, if not where would I start? Would I have to create a custom template?

Sorry, but we don’t have such feature in our theme.
