    After one of the recent theme updates, I noticed that a new brand submenu has been added to the products menu. I need your help removing it to avoid confusion and conflicts. The new one is the same as the original one; however, it has an extra description on the main page :
    “Brands be added and managed from this screen. You can optionally upload a brand image to display in brand widgets and on brand archives”

    Hello, @Farhad,

    Thank you for contacting us and for using XStore.

    We are pleased to inform you that your issue has been successfully resolved. We kindly request you to check your website after clearing your browser cache to ensure the changes take effect.

    For your reference, we have provided images in the private content area.

    The WooCommerce plugins added brands functionality in the latest version 9.6.0. As a result, there are now brands available from our theme as well as new ones from the WooCommerce plugin. You can choose which brands to use based on your preferences and which options provide you with more customization possibilities.

    1/ You can disable Brands WooCommerce: If you prefer not to use this feature, you can disable it with the following code snippet by add-in Child theme/function.php

    add_action( 'init', function() {
        update_option( 'wc_feature_woocommerce_brands_enabled', 'no' );
    } );

    Please read this article for more details: https://developer.woocommerce.com/2025/01/17/enabling-brands-update-for-woocommerce-9-6/

    2/ Furthermore, from our side we’ve renamed our brands and added a description – https://prnt.sc/jpKM1zvh_TvX

    We hope this information is helpful. Should you have any further questions or require additional assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

    Best regards,

    It would be good you ask about my decision before taking any actions.
    I have removed
    add_action( ‘init’, function() {
    update_option( ‘wc_feature_woocommerce_brands_enabled’, ‘no’ );
    } );
    from functions.php but the Woo Core Brand menu is back, what else should I do to undo what you did?
    I appreciate if you consider this az an urgent and reply quickly.

    Hello, @Farhad,

    Thank you for your response.

    Upon reviewing your website, we noticed that you are utilizing WooCommerce brand taxonomies. Specifically, we observed that the wc_feature_woocommerce_brands_enabled option in your database has been set to “yes.”

    This indicates that the WooCommerce brand taxonomies feature has been successfully enabled on your site.

    We hope this information proves helpful. Should you have any further questions or require additional assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.

    Best regards,
    The 8Theme Team
