Duplicate products in search results because of “search by SKU”

Hello,

When I search for a product using its SKU it brings up duplicate product results.
I have “search by SKU” enabled.
I guess that the problem is caused because the title of some products contains the SKU.

Is there a way to prevent this from happening (without disabling the “search by SKU”)?

Please be advised that each SKU must be distinct/unique. In instances where product titles and SKUs are identical, it can lead to conflicts that adversely affect the functionality of the search feature. Regrettably, we do not have an immediate solution to this issue. As a workaround, we recommend disabling the SKU search option through the Theme Options.

If your suggestion gains sufficient votes from our community, our development team will seriously consider incorporating it into one of the upcoming updates.
