    Good day,

the theme is clean and appears to be an easy to use setup. However the type of site or page building functions wasn’t clearly stated within the envato theme store prior to purchase. Perhaps someone can walk us through the process of editing the demo content within the homepage with our clients existing content.

For example within our wordpress admin panel under the pages tab, there are several pages setup provided by the demo content, the one titled “Homepage” is the layout of choice that we would like to use. When we click on that option to go into swap out the demo images we are met with lines of codes or text instead of a simple drag and drop setup like a visual composer would provide. Please advise if this is the method of use in updating the entire site with our very own content and if so how do we go about changing these codes and configuration? This could be very time consuming and we hope that there is a simpler way to edit or change content already provided within the demo.

thank you and look forward to hearing from you

    Best regards

    Hello,

Sorry, but Visual Composer plugin isn’t included in the theme and if you want to change images on page to yours you need just write links to your images in Text editor.
Also read in the documentation how home page is created:
    https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/idstore/index.html#!/demo_data_installation

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

thanks for the response, appreciate it.

Was hoping for a more straight forward way of dragging and dropping images within having to dig through codes to make simple edits to the site. Could you please clarify which lines we would need to edit within the text editor to edit the demo content images so that we can replace it with our clients images and products?

Hi thanks for the response. Does this also include the two rows of featured products within the homepage and what if we wanted to remove certain elements from the footer, the Mcafee logo. Just looks like not all the shortcodes are listed in the home page editor to reflect what we actually see within the live environment.

    Please kindly advise.

    Hello,

Featured and Latest products are loaded using 2 shortcodes, please look at the screenshot http://storage9.static.itmages.com/i/16/0328/h_1459177446_5671020_916ab17f97.png .
Read about IDStore shortcodes here https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/idstore/index.html#!/idstore_shortcodes .

As for the footer, our demo footer is loaded. You can create your own footer in Appearance > Widgets as described in the documentation https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/idstore/index.html#!/widgets (sections “The First Footer Widget Area”-“The Eighth Footer Widget Area”).

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.

Hi thanks again for the response.

Thanks for sending the links, but as for the featured and latest products we need to know where the source of the images are coming from so that we can load our clients products within that area. Perhaps you can help us to load such images or specifically pointing it out for us.

The shortcodes that you highlighted is still not clear in terms of finding each specific images to update.

    Hello,

Images for products can be added or changed in WP Dashboard > Products > edit a product (featured products are marked with a star http://storage1.static.itmages.com/i/16/0328/h_1459186537_7454667_54e7c07410.png) and upload your own featured image http://storage5.static.itmages.com/i/16/0328/h_1459186614_7518501_ca58905ccd.png .

    Best regards,

    Hello,

Sorry, but this is not included in the customization service.
We provide theme and demo data installation and if a customer wants to add or edit some theme features which requires additional modification in the code, then we can provide such customization as paid service.
Unfortunately uploading products is out of the customization scope.

    Thank you for understanding.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.
